On Exploder Button: Livide (2011)

From time to time, one encounters a movie one expects to be good, but not quite as good as what one actually gets to see.

Case in point is the French Livide, a film so beautifully standing in the tradition of Weird European supernatural horror, fairy tales, and complicated treatments of the monstrous that this week's column on Exploder Button makes noises very much like a movie blogger in love.
