Each installment would revolve around a different tragedy that somehow related to it.

Despite my phrasing, I guess this did end up a reality, however truncated it may have been. The only oddity being that the Mary Lou story was either remade or got its own sequel, depending on how you view the inconsistencies between parts 2 and 3. I wish we had gotten more installments though. I'd be interested to see just how hilariously over-the-top they could've taken tragedy-level of what surely must've been the worst. prom. ever!zmbdoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15317295014853615615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988760817943351657.post-74242640396258125642019-08-15T21:46:40.437+02:002019-08-15T21:46:40.437+02:00If it had been made a couple of years later, I sus...If it had been made a couple of years later, I suspect this would be one of those films that might very well have ended up on Amazon Prime Video, and we'd at least know the name of the director.

But then, what's life without mystery?houseinrlyeh aka Denishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04548069611516508274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988760817943351657.post-10303062056015950802019-08-14T22:10:43.593+02:002019-08-14T22:10:43.593+02:00If anyone found this through Google and is trying ...If anyone found this through Google and is trying to figure out any of the cast and crew, I don't have an answer for you. But I did find a few listings on Japanese stores online, as well as a dubiously legal uploaded version of the movie in parts. The last part does contain the credits... but unfortunately the quality is so low that the names are illegible, at least to a non-native Japanese reader like me.

The credits are only 15 lines long, and it lists two producers above the film staff. Screenshots of the credits can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/41YsZen

The full title of the film is 鬼秩父 ~あの多重遭難事故の真相を追う~ which is something like "The Demon of Chichibu ~Chasing the Truth of the Multi-disaster Incident~

Most online stores list the same thing for company, studio, director, etc: Spice Visual. This company has released a handful of horror/paranormal films, but the overwhelming majority of their focus is on Japanese gravure idols. Not something I should have clicked on at work.

The mystery deepens... I'd love to watch it, but preferably with a subtitled version until my Japanese gets better.prummhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12286584282968696312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988760817943351657.post-47462739452437623752018-02-18T22:33:27.078+01:002018-02-18T22:33:27.078+01:00From IMDB: "The movie was originally over 30 ...From IMDB: "The movie was originally over 30 minutes longer, which included some more plot details and character development. Steven Seagal cut some of William Forsythe's scenes because he felt that Forsythe was upstaging him. Also, editor Michael Eliot re-edited the original cut of the movie. He did the same job with some other Warner Bros movies. Some scenes were deleted and some others were cut down for pacing. This is why there are two montage scenes with no dialogue in the finished film. Re-editing also caused some minor continuity mistakes."Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10017723239609220330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1988760817943351657.post-61947364375423047702017-09-11T06:41:30.991+02:002017-09-11T06:41:30.991+02:00The Force On Thunder Mountain makes perfect sense ...The Force On Thunder Mountain makes perfect sense really as it's probably what's really going on in such places!
